EAST AFRICA
The scarcity of water has an impact on the entire lives of the African population. It affects health, agriculture, and also education. The lack of water forces those who live in drought areas to consume unsafe water which contributes to the spread of waterborne diseases, such as cholera, dysentery, malaria and diarrhea and can lead to other life threatening diseases. With your support, our goal is to build wells to supply clean drinking water. One well provides enough safe drinking water for an entire village. And we also provide an opportunity to hear the word of God.
ETHIOPIA
Overgrazing, and poor agricultural practices have contributed to soil erosion, causing substantial areas of farmland to be lost. As of 1994, 600,000 acres of arable land has been washed away each year. The combined effects of severe drought and a 17-year civil war have added to Ethiopia's environmental problems. Safe drinking water is available to only 11 percent of the rural population and 81 percent city dwellers. Through your help and support we endeavor to participate in meeting these needs by providing food, clothing, medical supplies, water and the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
KENYA
The funds for literacy in Kenya have become so depleted that the teachers, though trying their best, cannot get basic funds... With your help, our goal is to educate residents so that they will become self sufficient. Through the literacy program we supply materials and teachers to provide education. Also with education we share the word of God to bring hope and prosperity.
MEXICO
We also provide parent workshops in New Mexico and Mexico City. Parent workshops provide information on teaching children through movement, to focus, and feel reassured. Workshops also provide information to teach children to become independent, to make wise choices and to raise self-esteem. These workshops aid the child in developing positive friendships, translating to healthy relationships in the future. The workshops also provide parents with strategies on co-parenting. We also provide hope and endurance which is provided through sharing God's word.
